Angela Bettis (Carrie, May, The Woman) returns to horror in writer/director Brea Grant‘s (After Midnight) new film 12 Hour Shift (read our review), which was set to World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival prior to its cancelation.
News today ahead of Cannes is that Magnet Releasing has acquired worldwide rights to the horror-comedy that follows a group of nurses who are stealing organs and selling them on the black market.
“Nurse Mandy is just trying to make it through her double shift alive, but her nasty drug addiction, annoying coworkers, needy patients, and devious cousin are making it pretty tough, not to mention organ-stealing criminals and an injured convict.”
The first trailer footage shows a bloodied up Bettis as well as producer David Arquette (Scream) taunting someone with a knife.
Mick Foley, Chloe Farnworth, Kit Williamson, Tara Perry and Nikea Gamby-Turner also star. Producers include Christina Arquette, David, Arquette, Jordan Wayne Long, Tara Perry, and Matt Glass. Original Music composed by Matt Glass.
