Guns N’ Roses have announced Sweet Child O’Mine, a new picture book the band created in collaboration with the novelist James Patterson. The Jennifer Zivion-illustrated book pulls its narrative from the lyrics of the Guns N’ Roses song of the same name, and follows the adventures of Maya and Natalia Rose, the niece and daughter of Guns N’ Roses manager Fernando Lebeis, who have grown up touring with the band. It’s due out September 1 via Jimmy Patterson Books.
The band recently rescheduled their South American tour dates due to the spreading coronavirus pandemic. Their next scheduled show is on November 8, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Late last year they settled a lawsuit with Oskar Blues Brewery over a beer and accompanying merchandise they named Guns ‘N’ Rosé. They released their last album Chinese Democracy in 2008.
