I Have a CIA Theory — Bill Isnt the Only One Hunting the Mole

CIA has recently revealed quite a bit about Colin Glass. And as it turns out, he doesn’t have the family we were led to believe he did.

Instead, he has a girlfriend who clearly has more secrets than she’s willing to let anyone believe.

This hints that Colin could be the mole, but that’s too obvious, and there’s no way a lead character would end up being in that position. So it must mean Colin knows something.

Colin Is Onto the Mole in the Fusion Cell

It’s only a theory, but I’m certain that Colin knows there’s a mole in the Fusion Cell.

This is a man who has said that the agents need to trust each other.

They spend all their time lying to others, so they need to trust one another to do the job. However, Colin has proven he’s not honest with any of them, which means he knows others aren’t honest with him, either.

He needs his girlfriend to trust him and let him in, though, which led to a sob story at the end of CIA Season 1 Episode 5.

It wasn’t a total lie, as we know Colin wants to understand more about the death of his partner.

However, this was too well-timed, making it clear that he wanted to lure her back in as he was losing her.

He hasn’t shown much connection in the relationship, and neither has Sarah. It doesn’t seem like they’re in too deep.

That suggests that he needs her for something else, and it’s either the mole or it’s to get answers about the death of his partner, which I have a feeling are connected.

A CIA agent wouldn’t start a relationship with someone new without doing some digging. That means Colin knows the type of work Sarah does.

She made a point on CIA Season 1 Episode 5 that her job is classified, which would have set off alarm bells for Colin even if he didn’t already know.

However, her job is likely the reason Colin started dating her. He knows there is something going on in the Fusion Cell, and it’s linked to Sarah and her work.

Instead of working from the inside out, he’s working the case from the outside in.

By being in Sarah’s house, he could gather information from her computer and speak with her more intimately.

(Mark Schafer/CBS )

This could lead to mentioning another person involved in this mole storyline, whether it’s someone in the Fusion Cell or someone at work.

With a few subtle name drops at work, Colin can then sniff out the real mole.

Colin Wants Bill to Know He Knows

The theory continues, but Colin has either slipped up on the CIA, or he is acting a certain way on purpose.

He’s going about the hunt in a questionable way, and there’s a chance that he wants some people to know that he’s onto the situation.

(Mark Schafer/CBS)

Otherwise, why would he drive Nikki’s ex-husband’s car to the house? I don’t for a second believe he didn’t realize that Bill had put an FBI tracker on it.

Even if he didn’t, why would he drive a flashy car to that neighborhood without wanting someone to see him? It doesn’t make sense for a CIA agent.

So, Colin has likely figured out that Bill is onto something as well. The more he’s started working with Bill, the more he trusts the agent.

If the two of them have different pieces of the puzzle, they can combine the information to get to the bottom of it.

After all, two heads are better than one.

(Mark Schafer/CBS)

This would make more sense, especially since we’re already at the halfway point of the season.

Plus, with CIA Season 2 now officially confirmed, the series has to go somewhere with Colin and Bill working together more.

Colin is currently being set up to look like the mole, and it’s a red herring to draw us in. It’s also a red herring to create drama between Bill and Colin.

However, in the end, the two need to work together on CIA.

(Mark Schafer/CBS)

So, as Bill grows more suspicious, Colin can leave a hint that they’re working the same case.

From there, they’ll finally team up, putting them in a stronger position as partners during the second season.

If Colin doesn’t know, he’s not going to be angry to find out that Bill is working this mole case, since he likely already knows about it, so it’s not like their working relationship will be negatively affected.
