JoJo Siwa is thinking about her future with boyfriend Chris Hughes.
“Meghan Trainor once told me,” Siwa, 22, told E! News The Rundown’s Erin Lim Rhodes in an interview published on Saturday, January 24. “She said, ‘You will know you love somebody when you love them so much you want to duplicate them and you want to pop a baby out that is made from them.’”
She continued, “One of the first things that I said to her after I started dating Chris. I was like, ‘I get what you’re saying now.’ I love [Chris] so much. I need there to be a mini [Chris].’”
Siwa noted that she received a photo of baby Hughes, now 33, which only solidified her baby fever.

“He sent me a baby photo of him the other day. It’s like him in a trash can,” Siwa shared. “It’s really cute. And I was like, ‘Uh oh.’”
Siwa went on to joke that Hughes barely cared about an AI-generated photo she posted on social media showing what their future children could look like.
“He definitely knows it’s out there,” she said. “A couple of days went by and I was like, ‘Babe, why don’t you ever talk to me or say anything about this?’”
“He was like, ‘Babe, we had a full conversation about it,’” she continued. “And I was like, ‘We definitely didn’t.’ And he was like, ‘Oh yeah, that was with Jack’ — his best friend.”
Siwa and Hughes initially crossed paths on the U.K.’s Celebrity Big Brother in April 2025. One month later, Siwa opened up about her connection with Hughes during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
“What’s so special about Chris and I is that our bond is so genuine that neither of us care what people make of it,” Siwa told Us at the time. “Because we know our genuine friendship and we know our bond. It’s a great little special friendship that we have. And I literally send him videos of us dancing all the time.”
The couple confirmed their romance that June. The next month, Hughes exclusively told Us that he and Siwa have been mapping out their future plans.
“We genuinely speak to each other about this,” Hughes said at the time. “When you are absolutely besotted with each other and you are in love with someone, I think it’s fun to look forward to those things.”

He continued, “Of course I want to get married. I would never shy away from saying that. I want to marry and one day I want to have children. We both come from extremely loving families and very wholesome families who care … So it would be nice to reciprocate that going forward.”
Months later, the pair teased their plans for a future engagement.
“You always get people who get engaged [at] Christmas … I kinda like the idea of it not being at a time where it could be expected,” Hughes told The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine in December 2025 while Siwa quipped, “Alright, you’re keeping me guessing, aren’t you?”
“But what if I got him a ring?” she asked, to which Hughes replied, “I don’t agree with it.”
Siwa went on to note that she would pop the question to him if he waited too long, clarifying, “Listen, I wouldn’t do it unless you waited like seven years. And then I’d be like, ‘Alright, my ass is getting down on the knee then.’”
