Billie Eilish Breaks New Ground In 3D Doc Trailer

Billie Eilish and James Cameron push the limits of technology in the first trailer for HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D), which will be released March 20 by Paramount, Darkroom Records, Interscope Films and Lightstorm Entertainment. Watch the clip below.

“We’re using tech that’s never been used before,” Cameron says at one point. “No one’s shot a concert film on this scale before.”

In July, Eilish tipped off fans during a four-night run in Manchester, England, that there were “more cameras than usual” in the arena thanks to Cameron’s presence and that “I’ll probably be wearing this exact outfit for like four days in a row.” The pair co-directedTHE TOURtogether.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Eilish confronts touring without her brother and producer Finneas for the first time and gets emotional when reading a note from him that says, “it’s been the joy of my life to travel the world with you three times over and watch you hold every person who comes to your shows in the palm of your hand. Good luck tonight but you don’t need it. No one does it like you do.” Finneas later surprises his sister onstage in Manchester.

Cameron is also heard marveling at Eilish’s fondness for playing with puppies to ease the stress of being on the road. “I’m doing this on my next movie for sure,” he says.

The artist’s song “Wildflower” is nominated for both Record and Song of the Year at the upcoming Grammy Awards, which will be handed out Feb. 2.
