Kanye West Has Apparently Changed His Name to Ye Ye

The artist formerly known as Kanye West has apparently changed his name yet again. Following his legal switch to Ye in 2021, he reportedly will now go by the name of Ye Ye.

The New York Post’s Page Six has obtained documents filed in California by the rapper’s chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani, that lists the musician’s new name as “Ye Ye,” after he had previously been listed as “Ye West.” Earlier this month, Ye or Ye Ye, tweeted, “Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest twitter cause my name is Ye. Gonna start a ye account and it is what it is.”

In explaining his previous name change to Ye, Kanye said at the time, “In the Bible it means ‘you.’ So, I’m you. I’m us. It’s us. It went from being Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye.” Apparently, the name Ye is so nice, he now likes saying it twice.

No word yet on whether the new name will stop Ye Ye from sabotaging his career and business interests by spewing Nazi-sympathizing hate speech, among other misguided actions.
