First Gameplay Revealed for ‘Death Stranding 2: On the Beach’ [Watch]

Kojima Productions has finally given fans that gameplay reveal for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Taking place at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA., Hideo Kojima was joined by host Geoff Keighley for a panel discussion featuring DS2 actors Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna and Troy Baker, followed by the aforementioned live demonstration.

This event was the first stop of the Death Stranding World Strand Tour 2, which is a series of events commemorating the launch of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, touring 12 locations worldwide. Additional details about each stop on the tour will be revealed soon.

Picking up from the previous game, players once again follow Sam (Norman Reedus) as he embarks on an inspiring mission of human connection. Joined by old companions and new comrades, he sets out on a journey beyond the UCA, traversing a world beset by otherworldly enemies to save humanity from extinction haunted by the question: should we have connected?

Alongside Reedus, Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker return to Hideo Kojima’s genre defying universe. They will be joined by Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna, and Academy Award-winning film director George Miller.

Look for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach when it launches June 26 for PlayStation 5. A physical Collector’s Edition and digital Deluxe Edition are available for pre-order right now.
