Springsteen, Eminem Sign On For Kamala Harris Events

Ahead of the Nov. 5 presidential election, Bruce Springsteen will join VP Kamala Harris and former president Barack Obama for a Thursday (Oct. 24) rally in Atlanta as part of a seven swing state event series dubbed When We Vote, We Win. Details are still coming together, but according to reports, the Boss and Obama will then head to Philadelphia on Oct. 28, with additional stops likely in Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, North Carolina and Nevada.

Springsteen endorsed Harris and VP candidate Tim Walz in a social media post earlier this month, saying that “perhaps not since the Civil War has this great country felt as politically, spiritually and emotionally divided as it does at this moment. It doesn’t have to be this way.”

Speaking of Harris and Walz, he opined, “They want to grow our economy in a way that benefits all, not just the few, like me, on top. That’s the vision of America I’ve been consistently writing about for 55 years. Everybody sees things different, and I respect your choice as a fellow citizen, but like you I’ve only got one vote, and it’s one of the most precious possessions that I have.”

Meanwhile, Eminem will introduce Obama at a Harris campaign event tonight (Oct. 22) in the rapper’s hometown of Detroit, per CNN. Eminem has frequently bashed Trump, most notably during a freestyle at the 2017 BET Awards. In 2020, he endorsed the Joe Biden/Harris ticket and offered his song “Lose Yourself” to one of their campaign ads.
