Netflix Launches Limited ‘It’s What’s Inside: The Game’ For Body-Hopping Fun Among Friends

New Netflix thriller It’s What’s Inside turns a party game among friends into a wildly entertaining body-swapping fiasco. The streamer has launched It’s What’s Inside: The Game, giving you the opportunity to experience the body-hopping mayhem for yourself for a limited time.

The game is available to play here, now through October 14, so don’t wait to dive into the body-swap fun.

As for what to expect, “You and your pals will play a virtual game that puts your knowledge of each other and yourself to the test. Using cutting-edge technology, you’ll swap faces and voices with each other as you try to guess who is in whose body. Head-spinning? Absolutely. Nerve-wracking? You bet. But don’t worry, the game is totally safe. Your friendships, however, might not be.”

The game will use your recorded voice and image to re-create the film’s party game. You need four players minimum to play, with a maximum of six players. Players’ likenesses and voices are accessed for the game, but they will not be stored or used beyond that. Once the game is over, that data is deleted immediately.

As for how to play, don’t worry; the game will guide you with prompts and the gameplay self-explanatory.

In the energetic horror movie now streaming on Netflix, “A group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that awakens long-hidden secrets, desires, and grudges.”

The film marks the feature directorial debut of writer/director Greg Jardin and starsBrittany O’Grady, James Morosini, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Gavin Leatherwood, Reina Hardesty, and Nina Bloomgarden.

“The director pulls from his music video background for a vivacious, eye-catching feature that dazzles and lures you further into the tangled abyss, even as many of its central players frustrate, I wrote in my review. “Even still, It’s What’s Inside is pure fun. Moreover, it’s extremely funny. Jardin assembles an ensemble willing to push their frequently and intentionally insufferable characters past the point of insanity for our entertainment. On that front, Jardin’s debut is a stunning success. It’s a twisty puzzle box that demands your attention.”

Remember: you have until Monday to play It’s What’s Inside: The Game, and explore what it’s like to be someone else.
