Nestled in the heart of Joliet, the Old Joliet Haunted Prison transforms a historic penitentiary into one of the most unique haunted house experiences in the country. One of the most impressive aspects of the Old Joliet Haunted Prison is the use of the prison’s original features. From the eerily lit hallways to the decrepit cells and guard towers, the prison itself becomes a character in this twisted narrative.
This year, the haunted prison brings us three new themed attractions:
Carnage In Cell Block 13: Leopold and Loeb, infamous criminals, discovered a hidden paranormal lab in Joliet Prison. Killing Dr. Ryker, they used his machines to reanimate inmates, aiming to rule. The plan backfired as the dead turned into bloodthirsty cadavers. Desperate, the brothers augmented themselves with Ryker’s technology and fought through the prison, battling the undead to prevent an outbreak, turning the penitentiary into a nightmarish battleground.
Inmates Row: Guests are trapped in the labyrinthine corridors of the slaughterhouse, a twisted maze created by a deranged inmate of the Old Joliet Haunted Prison. Decorated with the remains of failed attempts, the gauntlet of horrors is further haunted by toxic zombies lurking in the shadows. Can you survive his game?
Zombie Laser Tag: Assemble your team and battle your way through a horde of zombies within a top secret training facility. Equipped with laser tag rifles you and your group will make your way through a series of video game inspired levels inhabited by the walking dead! Are you up to the challenge?
Mini Escape Games will be making their return along with not one, but two secret bars.
