boohooMAN Partners With Major League DJz for Fashion Collaboration

This August, global online retailer boohooMAN will reveal an exciting apparel partnership with Major League DJz, a South African music duo. Through their carefully curated collection of ready-to-wear items, inspired by the everyday wardrobe of their dynamic twin brothers, Bandile and Banele Mbere, this relationship represents a significant marriage of fashion and music.

With its assortment of interchangeable sets, more oversized fits, and statement-making core accessories, the collection is a daring departure from traditional fashion. The collection features elegant denim and loose shapes inspired by boohooMAN’s streetwear and captures Major League DJz’s unique style. The twins, well-known for their futuristic production and immersive African sounds, have upended the African music market since 2012 and developed a cult following in the US, UK, and Africa.

Fashion designers frequently need help producing collections that appeal to music lovers and fashion enthusiasts. Major League DJz and boohooMAN take on this challenge head-on by fusing their dynamic music culture with their sharp fashion sense. The twins, frequently spotted in complementing ensembles, created the boohooMAN line with interchangeable pieces that capture their enormous aesthetic, enabling simultaneous and solo wear.

The two creative powers behind Major League DJz, Bandile, and Banele Mbere, have been blending Amapiano sounds to create music that will shape the future. Their father was an anti-apartheid activist from South Africa, and they were born in the US. After democracy, they returned to South Africa and became well-known cultural figures. Outstanding partnerships with musicians like Burna Boy, Diplo, and Black Coffee and ground-breaking appearances at prestigious music festivals like Coachella are hallmarks of their careers.

The 54 matching pieces in the boohooMAN collaboration provide a variety of high/low pieces with vivid colors and monochromatic styles. Bold statements like “No Request,” which reflect the duo’s distinct personalities and love of music, are featured on graphic t-shirts. Designed to be worn as co-ords or independent pieces, the denim pieces are large with exaggerated flares or torn with skeleton appliqué patterns. The range is finished with longer-length jorts, cargo elements, and statement shirts with graphic patterns on check fabric.
