Jane’s Addiction Release First Song With Original Lineup Since 1990

Jane’s Addiction have released a studio version of “Imminent Redemption,” the new song they debuted live earlier this year when their original lineup of vocalist Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Eric Avery performed together in London for the first time since 2010.

“It is different this time,” the band says. “To have everyone back together, releasing new music. It’s time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane’s Addiction. ‘Imminent Redemption’ is only the beginning.”

Prior to the May show, Navarro had been out of the group due to symptoms from long COVID and was replaced on the road in recent years by former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist/Pearl Jam multi-instrumentalist Josh Klinghoffer and Queens of the Stone Age’s Troy Van Leeuwen.

Jane’s Addiction will tour with fellow reunited rockers Love and Rockets beginning Aug. 9 in Las Vegas.
