JoJo Siwa Details Terrifying Swatting Attack, Boosts Security

Former Dancing With The Stars contestant JoJo Siwa recently admitted someone attacked her home. Thankfully, the 21-year-old is just fine. However, it seems that she is shaken up about the situation. She also shared that she plans to increase her security measures moving forward.

JoJo Siwa Suffered Another Swatting Attack On Her Home

The world met JoJo Siwa for the first time when she was a little girl on Dance Moms. After that, she became a wildly popular children’s entertainer. After coming out as queer in her late teens, she’s tried to shift gears and create more adult content. Her explicit song “Karma” showed the world a very different side of the young star.

And sadly, it seems that not everyone adjusted well to JoJo’s big shift. In a new interview, she revealed someone sent authorities to her home in a swatting attack.

JoJo Siwa’s home has been swatted before, but she admits this situation was incredibly frightening.

“This definitely is different,” the former Dance Moms star shared with E! “It’s interesting—OK, I guess we’ll get really right into it: I got swatted two nights ago. I haven’t told anybody about this yet. But basically, I showed up to my house, there was four police cars outside.”

Now more than ever before, JoJo Siwa wants to prioritize her own safety.

“The police asked me, he was like, ‘Why do you not have security with you in this moment?’” JoJo continued. “And I was like, ‘Cause I haven’t needed it yet.’ But now, I do really need it every day with me. So, it definitely has changed in the last month, two months, three months, I guess, since ‘Karma’ came out. It’s been fun to say the least.”

The Former Dance Moms Star Is Happy With Her New Persona

JoJo Siwa seems to think the new attacks have something to do with her major transformation. But even so, she isn’t holding back with her new persona.

“I think for a very long time, I’ve been in the industry since I was 9, I really have been a lot of people’s guilty pleasures for different reasons,” the 21-year-old shared with E! “Especially now with ‘Karma,’—the dance, the makeup, everyone [saying], ‘You’re a weirdo. You’re a freak.’”

However, JoJo isn’t bothered by the mean comments. After all, that means they’re still paying attention.

“It doesn’t matter what you’re commenting, you’re still commenting,” she continued. “That’s what’s funny is people will essentially use their time—I’m not gonna say waste their time—but there’s people that are using their time to comment, ‘You’re not my guilty pleasure.’ Then why are you on my page, and why are you commenting? Click not interested and keep it pushing, kid.”
