TLC first introduced Jamal Menzies to 90 Day Fiance fans as a side character in Kimberly Menzies’s storyline with Usman Umar. Back then, fans loved the way that Jamal would stick up for and defend his mother against Usman.
90 Day Fiance fans called out Usman Umar as a scammer from his days filming with Lisa Hamme. So, for Jamal to step up to the plate and defend his mom against Usman, this was something that viewers loved to see. At the time, it made Jamal seem endearing, and like a genuinely nice guy.
Jamal Menzies Got With Fellow TLC Celeb Veronica Rodriguez
Jamal Menzies eventually caught the eye of fellow 90 Day Fiance cast member Veronica Rodriguez. Despite their age difference, these two really seemed to hit it off when they first got together. Of course, Tim Malcolm was never a big fan of Jamal, nor anyone else that Veronica has tried to date. At least for a time, the 90 Day Fiance community felt like these two could have a legitimate shot to make things work.
Jamal Menzies and Veronica Rodriguez eventually moved things over to The Single Life. Eventually, however, a number of issues popped up in their relationship. One of those issues was distance, as the pair went back and forth between San Diego and Charlotte.
Veronica Rodriguez also called Jamal Menzies out for being a poor communicator. According to Veronica, Jamal had a habit of not texting back, and not communicating. Jamal acknowledged in recent Tell-All scenes that he could have handled things better with Veronica.
90 Day Fiance Fans Roast Jamal, Why?
90 Day Fiance public opinion has significantly turned against Jamal Menzies since he was first featured in TLC scenes with his mother. What really took the sleaze factor up a notch, according to fans, is when it was revealed that Jamal and Luisa Beltran were intimate.
Jamal dated Veronica, and Tim dated Luisa. So, Luisa and Jamal hooking up a “couple of times” created this awkward love square between the four of them, and this recent admission is grossing a lot of viewers out. The 90 Day Fiance franchise is known for some shocking things, but this one was new.
- One 90 Day Fiance fan said: “He’s just a fu** boi…he’s at that stage in his life. That’s fine, but he needs to stop being so self righteous.”
- Another commenter said: “I agree, he’s a total d-bag and from the sound of it quite likely much, much worse!”
- A third agreed, adding: “But did anyone catch on to Luisa not remembering the extent of what they did and Jamal did??? Sounds a little predatory if you ask me.”
The irony, of course, is the fact that Jamal Menzies made it his mission to protect his mom from Usman Umar and the Nigerian man’s shady behavior, only for Jamal to turn around and do similar things to other women. Depending on who you ask, much worse things to boot.
