Bust Ghosts From the Comfort of Your Own Home With the Tie-in AR ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ Game, ‘Ghost Invasion’

Ahead of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire‘s release on March 22, Sony Pictures is doing a little promotion in the form of Augmented Reality with Ghost Invasion. If you head on over here, you get in on trapping those Mini-Pufts with your mobile device.

Admittedly, the gameplay isn’t all that much. You tap your screen to place the trap and initiate the frosty capture sequence. Along with the Mini-Pufts, you’ll be able to trap Slimer and the Hell’s Kitchen Sewer Dragon.

If you persist in your efforts and grab all of the ghosts, you do get an Easter Egg starring Kumail Nanjiani, who stars in the film as Nadeem Razmaadi.

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level.

But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

Along with Nanjiani, the cast includes Patton Oswalt, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind, alongside Bill Murray, Finn Wolfhard, Ernie Hudson, Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Annie Potts, Dan Aykroyd and Carrie Coon.

Jason Reitman, who directed Ghostbusters: Afterlife, is back to produce Frozen Empire.
