‘The Babysitter 3’ – McG Still Hopes to Finish His Horror Movie Trilogy

Blumhouse Productions has had no shortage of box office hits over the years, including Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister, The Purge, Get Out and Halloween, but it’s this year’s video game adaptation Five Nights at Freddy’s that is the company’s biggest movie to date.

Released in theaters on October 27, the very same day the film was also made available on Peacock at home, director Emma Tammi’s Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has now scared up an incredible $283.1 million at the worldwide box office – the film’s current domestic total is $136.2 million – which officially makes it the highest grossing movie in Blumhouse history.

The previous record holder for Blumhouse was M. Night Shyamalan’s Split, a stealth sequel to Unbreakable that ended its own worldwide box office run with $278.4 million.

Made on a production budget of just $20 million, Five Nights at Freddy’s is proving to be a big time moneymaker for the studio, and a sequel is all but guaranteed at this point.

After shattering all-time records at the box-office, Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s, the haunting new horror film based on the video game series created by Scott Cawthon, will be available with never-before-seen bonus content on Digital November 28, 2023, and 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on December 12, 2023, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

In the horror movie, “After accepting a security guard job from Steve (Matthew LillardScream, Scooby Doo), Mike (Josh HutchersonThe Hunger Games Franchise) discovers an abandoned restaurant may actually be haunted by murderous animatronics.”

Five Nights at Freddy’s is a horror video game series in which you must survive the titular five nights at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza from the dangers of animatronic characters.
