Former Real Housewives star Meghan King said she falls “somewhere on the gay spectrum” as she’s “hooked up” with women in the past.

King, who appeared on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Orange County, discussed dating and her romantic past on the relaunch of her Intimate Knowledge podcast. King revealed on the podcast that she’s “hooked up with women” before and described how she is “somewhere on the gay spectrum”, People reported.

“It’s interesting because the way that I grew up was very traditional — all the way through I went to Catholic school,” she said. “But I’ve hooked up with women… I’m not a lesbian, I must be somewhere on the gay spectrum. I mean we all are, everyone is.”

King added that she has had “fun experiences” in the past, but she doesn’t “look at women and think of them sexually”. She noted that she “can’t even imagine” being in a monogamous relationship with another woman.

The revelation came after Meghan King told Tamron Hall on The Tamron Hall Show that she’s “done putting relationships on social media”. She said that she no longer wanted to be “defined by them”.

“You Google my name and you see all these relationships, I’m done with that,” King said. “I think, most of the time when I date, my life intimidates people.”

King confirmed that she is back in the dating scene following her high-profile divorce from retired baseball player Jim Edmonds in 2021.

She married Cuffe Biden Owens – a Los Angeles-based attorney and the son of president Joe Biden’s sister – in October 2021 but it was annulled in July.

Meghan King said during an interview on the Divorced Not Dead podcast that she was “very confused” by the relationship but was “glad” it was “short and sweet”.

“We rushed into it… Like I said earlier, I’m a lover and I want everybody to be happy,” she said. “I learned some big lessons from that mistake. I’m sure he did as well.”

Fellow Real Housewives of Orange County star Braunwyn Windham-Burke came out as gay and shared she was in a relationship with a woman in December 2020 interview with GLAAD.

“I’m a member of the LGBTQ+ community,” she said. “It has taken me 42 years to say that but I am so proud of where I am right now.”

Windham-Burke described how she was “so happy” to live as her authentic self and be able to be “comfortable in [her] own skin after so long”.

She said in a later interview with Vulture that she decided to come out before photos of her relationship would be leaked to the public. Windham-Burke explained that TMZ had “some photos of [her] and [her] girlfriend”, but the publication wasn’t going to run them as it has a “policy of not outing people”.

The reality TV star said Bravo PR warned her that the photos were “gonna get out there” so she wanted to “find a venue that was respectful” and help her share her story. Windham-Burke said it was “hard” for her to come out publicly as a lesbian, and she was “shaking” throughout the interview with GLAAD.

“But now that I’ve gotten to the other side of it, I’m glowing and lighter and happy,” Windham-Burke said.
