Camila Morrone Is Reportedly “Doing Fine” After Her Breakup with Leonardo DiCaprio

Camila Morrone and her longtime boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio may have recently broken up, but the model is apparently doing great and focused on her burgeoning acting career.

Despite recently deciding to bring their relationship to an end, a source told People that “Camila is doing fine.” They added, “She has a big group of friends that really care about her. She is moving on with her life. She is not in contact with Leo.” In late August, the outlet also confirmed that the couple had decided to go their separate ways. Since the split, DiCaprio has been spotted out dining with friends, as well as a few young models, in both New York and Europe. And in true post-breakup fashion, Morrone also recently debuted a brand new set of bangs.

The actor and the model were first linked in January 2018 after taking a trip to Aspen, Colorado together and then proceeded to be photographed on a number of romantic getaways all around the world. But the pair have actually known each other since Morrone was 12 as they were introduced by her former step-father and DiCaprio’s close friend, Al Pacino. In February 2020, they made their official public debut as a couple, walking the red carpet separately but sitting together front row at the Oscars. The last time they were photographed together was over the Fourth of July weekend when they were spotted taking a walk along the beach with their dogs in Malibu, California.

While the pair have preferred to keep their relationship very private over the years, in a December 2019 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Morrone opened up about their relationship for the first time, addressing the 22-year age difference between them. She explained that, “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood—and in the history of the world—where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.” She added that it was “frustrating” to only be known for her relationship with DiCaprio. “I feel like there should always be an identity besides who you’re dating,” she said. “I understand the association, but I’m confident that will continue to slip away and be less of a conversation.”
