It’s official! Megan Thee Stallion is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the new Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law.

The Grammy award-winning rapper has been rumoured to be joining the MCU for months, after her stunt performer Marche Day listed She-Hulk in her resume.

Megan’s casting was confirmed on 29 August in a new interview with The Cut.

There has been no official announcement from Marvel, however Deadline has reported that Megan will play herself in a single episode.

Megan Thee Stallion is the latest star to join the MCU, following drag icon Shea Couleé, who has been announced for Marvel’s Ironheart alongside trans non-binary actor Zoe Terakes.

Fans on social media are already buzzing for the rapper’s cameo. “Megan Thee Stallion joining the MCU might be the greatest thing to ever happen to Marvel since [Spider-ManNo Way Home,” one person wrote.

While another added: “She-Hulk was already on track to be the best Marvel Disney Plus series but I think that Megan Thee Stallion being in it has sealed the deal completely.”

This is not Megan’s first foray into acting, as she revealed to The Cut that she once auditioned to be Mercedes, now played by Brandee Evans, in the drama series P-Valley.

I was just coming up, and I read for Mercedes,” she explained, “but seeing Brandee play Mercedes, I’m like, ‘Obviously, I was not here yet’. She’s so perfect for that role.”

Despite not landing the role, she recently made a cameo on the show as her alter-ego Tina Snow and creator Katori Hall praised her skill.

“I think she has it in her tool bag to do anything,” Hall said, “you could see her in a period piece, whether she’s playing someone in the 1960s trying to come up and make it,

“Or whether she’s in a futuresque sci-fi film and she’s out here whooping ass and fighting on some Marvel stuff. I think she could bring it all to the table just because she has that glow.”

Discussing her foray into TV, Megan said: “I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress — I feel like I’m also going to be a director and I’m also going to be a producer,” adding that she is inspired by Queen Latifah and Ice Cube.

Megan Thee Stallion will make her fully-fledged acting debut in A24’s F***ing Identical Twins, a musical comedy inspired by The Parent Trap.

She also mentioned her dream of playing Gabrielle Union’s character Isis in a new version of Bring It On.

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, starring Tatiana Maslany and Jameela Jamilis now available on Disney+.
