Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker decided to break up shortly after celebrating her sister Kourtney Kardashian‘s marriage to Travis Barker in Italy together.
After two years of dating, the pair have gone their separate ways according to a source “close to Kendall” who spoke with E! News. “Kendall and Devin hit a rough patch recently and have been split for about a week and a half,” they said. The insider added that while they had a “really nice time” together in Italy during all the wedding festivities, “once they got back, they started to feel like they weren’t aligned and realized they have very different lifestyles.” And eventually, those different lifestyles led the model to tell Booker she “wanted space and time apart,” although “They have been in touch since and do care about one another.” The source also noted that this time apart may not be totally permanent as “they both hope to make it work, but as of now, they are split.”
Rumors that Jenner and the NBA player were dating first began in April 2020 when they were spotted driving around Arizona together during the pandemic. By June of that year, the pair were officially an item and on Valentine’s Day they made things Instagram official with the model sharing a shot of the two of them laughing while entwined on a kitchen counter. Jenner also celebrated their first anniversary on social media with several PDA-heavy pictures. And to mark her birthday last year, Booker posted a picture of the reality star on his Instagram Stories, calling her the “most beautiful woman.”
The pair have tried to remain private and out of the public eye, but, in June, Jenner did open up a little bit about her boyfriend and their decision to keep their relationship off-camera during a conversation with Andy Cohen on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians: The Final Curtain reunion. She explained, “Kylie [Jenner] and I have had the opportunity to watch our older sisters go through marriages and relationships and breakups and all these things, and do them pretty publicly. And no offense to you guys at all, but I think it was personal preference from a really young age that I didn’t want to [do that]. I think it makes my life a lot easier and our relationship a lot better, to be completely honest. I just feel like it’s a private matter, it’s not really for anybody else to judge or know.” And when a fan asked if she only dates basketball player, Jenner retorted, “I actually don’t only date basketball players, if anyone’s ever done their research, but I’m not ashamed that I have a type. I’m also just a genuine basketball fan, so that’s just kind of happened.”
