Next Prop Store Horror Auction Includes ‘Scream’ Knife, Leatherface Chainsaw, ‘The Fly’ Head and More!

The Prop Store has once again put together an incredible auction featuring props, costumes and more from the world of popular culture, and this latest one is LOADED with horror goodies that will drop your jaw. Props and costumes from horror icons including Freddy, Chucky, Ghostface and more will be going under the hammer in Los Angeles live auction this month.

The auction will be taking place in Valencia, California between June 21-24, 2022 and features a collection of film memorabilia that is collectively worth over $9 million!!

Brandon Alinger, Prop Store COO, tells us, “Horror is always one of the most popular genres in our auctions. There’s an amazing amount of workmanship that goes into bringing our worst nightmares to life. We have amazing horror piece in this auction from artists like Doug Beswick and Rick Baker that are true works of art and are amazing to study up close.”

Here’s just a small sampling of the incredible horror items up for grabs…

  • Gruesome props, including Freddy Krueger’s (Robert Englund) Protruding Glove and Sweater SFX Rig from Freddy vs. Jason (2003) and a Bloodied Chucky (Brad Dourif) Puppet Display from Cult of Chucky (2017) are to be sold alongside over 1,800 props, costumes and other entertainment memorabilia
  • Other auction highlights include lots from 1980s horror classics, including an incredible set of vampire jackets from Joel Schumacher’s The Lost Boys (1987) which are estimated to sell between $80,000 – 120,000 (£63,760 – 95,640), and Seth Brundle’s (Jeff Goldblum) Final Form Head from The Fly (1986), estimated between $10,000 – 15,000 (£7,970 – 11,955)
  • Fans of Tim Burton will have the opportunity to bid on Johnny Depp’s Insert Hand from Edward Scissorhands (1990). Estimated to sell between $30,000 – 40,000 (£23,8850 – 31,853), this particular hand was used in the iconic ice sculpture scene with Winona Ryder
  • Doug Beswick Collection: Screen-Matched Stop-Motion Spider Gremlin from GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH (1990) est: $20,000 – 30,000 (£15,940 – 23,910)
  • George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino, and Robert Rodriguez-Autographed Clapperboard from FROM DUSK TILL DAWN (1996) est: $10,000 – 15,000 (£7,970 – 11,955)
  • Male Nurse’s “Eye of the Beholder” Makeup Appliance from THE TWILIGHT ZONE (1986) est: $10,000 – 15,000 (£7,970 – 11,955)
  • The Fisherman’s (Muse Watson) Metal Hook from I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (1997) est: $5,000 – 7,000 (£3,985 – 5,580)
  • Billy Loomis’ (Skeet Ulrich) Ghostface Knife from SCREAM (1996) est: $5,000 – 7,000 (£3,985 – 5,580)
  • Dan Yeager-Autographed Leatherface Stunt Chainsaw from TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D (2012) est: $5,000 – 7,000 (£3,985 – 5,580)
