Interpol have announced The Other Side of Make-Believe, their new album that’s out July 15 via Matador. They’re previewing the record with lead single “Toni” and an accompanying music video directed by Van Alpert. Check it out below.

“I wrote a crazy idea that I felt was new for Interpol: a hyper-modern, cinematic dance film. A ‘Lover’s on the Run’ story with a classic cliff-hanger ending,” Alpert said of his music video in a statement. “Paul Banks ties everything together and elevated the concept, because he’s naturally a great actor, artist, and collaborator.”

As reported last year, Interpol worked on their new album in London with Alan Moulder and Flood. The Other Side of Make-Believe is Interpol’s seventh studio album and the follow-up to 2018’s Marauder. Later this month, they will kick off an extensive run of concerts, including a co-headlining tour with Spoon.
