The show will “celebrate her journey from her home of South Africa to professional dancer”.

Mabuse spent seven years as a professional dancer on BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing, before announcing her departure from the show earlier this month.

She won the series in two consecutive years in 2019 and 2020 – becoming the first professional to do so – with celebrity partners Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey.

Since then she has joined ITV’s Dancing On Ice as a judge, where she recently performed an adapted routine from the upcoming stage show.

I Am Here is described as a “whirlwind celebration of her inspirations and influences” and includes jives, sambas and traditional South African dances.

Mabuse is also the choreographer for the upcoming UK tour of The Cher Show, a musical based on the pop and LGBT+ icon’s life and career.

Her solo headline tour will start in April and visit venues in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Sheffield, Birmingham and London until July.
