Adam Levine Debuts New Rose Face Tattoo

The singer’s new face art appears to be inspired by his daughter and his new tequila brand, Calirosa.

Adam Levine found a way to expand his already extensive, body-spanning collection of tattoos, debuting some permanent new face art during at an event at Art Basel.

The Maroon 5 frontman showed off his bold, new face tattoo at the AD100 party in Miami on Wednesday where he was joined by his wife, Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo. Levine got the silhouette of a single rose done in black down the left hand side of his temple. While the singer didn’t reveal the meaning behind the fresh ink at the time, fans have speculated that it could be an homage to his daughter or his new tequila brand. Earlier this year, the couple launched a rose-colored tequila together, called Calirosa Tequila, which is aged in red wine barrels to give it its light pink hue.

The pair’s eldest daughter, 5-year-old Dusty Rose, also has the flower prominently feature in her name all thanks to Ellen DeGeneres. During an appearance on DeGeneres’s talk show in December 2020, Levine revealed that he had come up with names for his newborn, explaining, “I think I have a great name, and I texted Ellen and I was like, ‘What do you think?’ and she’s like, ‘I hate it, I think it’s a terrible name.’” But the host did offer up some suggestions of her own, he continued, “She gave me like five names to think about, like, ‘This, this, this, this’—Dusty was in there. So you basically named my kid.” He also revealed that Prinsloo was not a fan of the name at first, but “Then I brought it back to her in the 11th hour and I’m like, ‘Dusty’s pretty cool …’ and she’s like, ‘I love it.’” Levine also confessed that he didn’t know dusty rose was already the name of a color when he gave it to his daughter, but added with a laugh, “If anyone needs to name their child, Ellen’s really good at it.”
