‘The Chamber of Terror’ Teaser Gives Us a Taste of Its Practical Gore Effects [Video]

The Bloody Disgusting family is now 20 years strong and one of our very first festival scene writers was Mike Pereira, who attended the Toronto International Film Festival before any other online-only entertainment outlet.

Today we have the very first teaser for Pereira’s indie feature The Chamber of Terror, which hits the festival scene soon.

“The Chamber of Terror is a horror-comedy where one man’s mission of vengeance against a crime family unwittingly leads to a collision course with something far more sinister.”

Timothy Paul McCarthy (Psycho Goreman) reprises his role of the tough everyman Nash Caruthers character brought to life in director Michael Pereira’s cult short films DeathboxZandavi Lives and the Toronto After Dark film festival bumper Nash Caruthers.

Jessica Vano (The Demolisher, Deadsight), Ry Barrett (The Heretics, The Hoard) and Derek Gilroy (HBO’s “Jett”, Elysium) also star.

“Pun intended; this film is a chamber piece littered with complex characters, some with their own secret agenda. I love movies where a group of unsavory people are thrown together in an enclosed space and we watch how it all unfolds,” Pereira previously told us.

He added: “We are going 1980s old school on this one, with the kind of bonkers practical gore effects I grew up loving. The Chamber of Terror will be a surprise-around-the-corner, splatter-packed fun romp.”

Produced by Craig Lobo, The Chamber of Terror is written and directed by Michael Pereira in his feature film debut. Award-winning cinematographer Michael Jari Davidson (SuperGrid, Berkshire County) has been brought on to lens the film.
