One Weird Trick for Acting Like Michael Caine

Did you know the talented Mr. Caine could do this?

Michael Caine is a talented guy. He can do the stage. He can do drama, comedy, action movies. He’s had a long, multidecade career with basically the same haircut the whole time. He managed to live his whole life while constantly chewing a steak. But did you know, he also trained himself to not blink.

According to the Mirror, he read a book called Teach Yourself Film Acting and took one very important lesson from it. “One thing that stuck in my mind was, ‘Don’t blink. You must never blink’.

“For the next eight years, I walked around trying not to blink. People around me, my mother and everybody, thought I had gone nuts. They thought I was a psychopath. I used to frighten the life out of people.”

For it, he received the nickname “snake eyes.” He does not say why, after eight years, he was back on the blinking wagon, but we’re just happy he is. Dunno, seems like a good idea, blinking. That altogether human tick meant to lubricate your eyeballs. So if eyeballs are the windows to the soul, blinking is the squeegee that gives ‘em a rinse. I suppose if you actually wanted your soul to be a bit obscured, then maybe it’s something to think about training yourself to do. I hope he knows Jennifer Aniston, queen of quenched

Listen, that guy was wildly successful, so maybe now there’s an aspiring young actor who is, for some reason, reading blogs instead of watching their TikToks, who will put down this webpage and walk around for the next eight years trying not to blink. And that person we shall call the next Michael Caine.
