Behold, a photo of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez appearing to have a nice time with Affleck’s best friend from Boston, Matt Damon. What are they talking about? What’s making them laugh? Affleck’s Dunkies order? Lopez’s Dunkies order? That really would be funny to hear. Can you imagine? Queen of Starbucks ordering an iced macchiato from the other coffee joint. Who knows? But it does seem like a big milestone, the whole approval-from-the-best-friend thing.
And it also comes from still more cute outings with both Affleck’s kids, and Lopez’s. The signs, they really seem to be pointing to serious, life-partner-testing situations.
Now, I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Matt Damon also met Affleck’s last serious girlfriend, actress Ana de Armas, and they too laughed on a Malibu beach together. And Lopez and her former fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, took their respective kids on various outings that were photographed intensely and now look at them. Lopez is doing all that with Affleck’s family, and Rodriguez is posing with a car he once bought Jenny. This is to say that anything could happen! It’s a complicated world, these celebrity relationships. Complicated things happen!
Perhaps the Rodriguez kids are still pen pals, writing back and forth in finsta DMs or whatever the communique of choice is these days for the under-18 set. But right now it’s all Lopez’s and Affleck’s kids together, all the time.
On Friday, the whole happy family, minus one of Affleck’s children, went to see Hamilton together in L.A. Bonding courtesy of Lin-Manuel Miranda…it’s foolproof! They also spent Saturday at Magic Castle in Los Angeles.
One of People’s insiders mentioned that “they are not trying to rush anything, but they want all the kids to get to know each other. They are making the last few days of summer as fun as they can. Soon it’s back to school and work.”
The summer-fun crunch is here for all, including Matt Damon. Next up, pencils and studying and perhaps a publicity tour or two for everyone’s delayed projects.
