Taika Waititi and Rita Ora Attend Suicide Squad Premiere Together

The pair walked the red carpet arm-in-arm three months after photos of them cuddling with Tessa Thompson puzzled the internet.

Three months after setting social media on fire with photos of them engaging in some serious PDA with Tessa Thompson, Rita Ora and Taika Waititi have made their relationship red carpet official.

The pair arrived at the premiere of The Suicide Squad in Los Angeles on Monday, posing on the step and repeat with their arms intertwined, smiling broadly at both the cameras and one another. This marks the first time they’ve made a public appearance as a couple. Rumors that Ora and Waititi were romantically involved first began in April after the pop star shared a candid shot of them hugging on Instagram. She captioned the photo slideshow, “Good times, memories, random things on my phone and the ones I love,” with a red heart emoji. Ora was previously linked to filmmaker Romain Gavras, while, in 2018, Waititi split from his wife of seven years with whom he shares two children, Chelsea Winstanley.

In May, Ora and the director’s relationship seemed all but confirmed after paparazzi photos were published by the Daily Mail that showed them cuddling and kissing outside of Waititi’s home in Sydney, Australia with Thompson and Australian model Zac Stenmark.

In one shot, the singer and Thompson—who stars in Thor: Love and Thunder directed by Waititi—can be seen kissing while sitting on either side of the filmmaker. In another, the group shares a laugh as Waititi wraps his arms around both women. When questioned about the viral photos by The Sydney Morning Herald in June, the director confessed that he was “not really” upset by the media frenzy surrounding the images. “I think in the world of the internet, everything goes away pretty quick,” he said. “And also, is it that big a deal? No, not really. I was doing nothing wrong. It’s fine.”
