Drake brought a very special guest with him on stage at the Billboard Music Awards tonight as he accepted his Artist of the Decade award: His three-year-old son Adonis. Adonis kept close to Drake as the musician gave his speech and held his dad’s hand as they walked to the mic. It is their first award show together:

At the end of his speech, Drake lifted his son up in front of the crowd in a sweet, affectionate moment. Drake told his son, who was holding the trophy, that he wanted to dedicate his award to him:

Drake and his ex Sophie Brussaux welcomed Adonis in October 2017. Last March, Drake shared the first photo of himself with Adonis. He wrote an candid caption to the world as society entered into quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic:

Let go of any judgment you may have around that. Remember that you are never alone, and if you need to be reminded of that ask for support and it will show up. Everything comes down to intention, and even though there are conflicting energies circling around us you must KNOW…It will rebuild. But in order for that to happen, you have to do exactly that. Trust. You have the biggest heart and that is your greatest gift. It’s impossible to always control your surroundings, but when you shift the focus to how you want to feel, everything will conspire to assist you.
