Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck apparently really enjoyed their recent jaunt to Montana, and friends are already encouraging the rekindled romance, suggesting that another trip down the aisle could be in these former fiancés’ future.
A source confirmed to People that the pop star “had a great time with Ben,” on their mini-vacation, adding, “She is happy with him and enjoys spending time with him.” Following their appearances at the VAX Live concert on May 2, the friendly exes were photographed riding in a car together near the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana where Affleck also owns a home. Affleck and Lopez apparently spent several days there together “alone, just the two of them,” which helped to rekindle their “strong connection,” according to a source that previously spoke to E! News. “It’s natural between them and the chemistry is unreal. They picked up where they last left off and are enjoying each other’s company right now.”
And, apparently, it’s not just the two stars who think their relationship might be worth a second shot, Lopez’s friends are also all in favor of this reconciliation seventeen years in the making. “People close to her won’t be surprised if they end up together,” an insider confided to Us Weekly, as the formerly betrothed couple have apparently “always loved each other” and “always remained friends.” A second source explained that following Lopez’s breakup this year, “[Ben and Jennifer] had a heart-to-heart and it reignited the spark between them.” That spark has now “progressed” into something more.
But there is one person who is less than thrilled by this early aughts romance revival—Alex Rodriguez. A source “close to Lopez” told E! News that “A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on. He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.” They added that he is “saddened” by this sudden turn of events and has reached out to the singer to let her know “he’s upset,” but “She’s not interested in rekindling anything with A-Rod and is done.” Sounds like it might be time for Rodriguez to take the advice he pinned to his own mirror following their breakup and choose to accept the things he cannot change.
