Colton Underwood’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Randolph has broken her silence after he came out publicly as gay.

Underwood and Randolph first started dating after she emerged as a frontrunner on The Bachelor. They continued their relationship after the show concluded, but later announced their split in May 2020.

Three months after their breakup, Cassie Randolph accused Colton Underwood of stalking and harassing her and filed for a restraining order.

Underwood came out as gay on Good Morning America earlier this month. Speaking in a YouTube video uploaded on Thursday (22 April), Randolph said she won’t be commenting in detail on her ex’s sexuality anytime soon, but thanked fans for their support.

“Before I get into anything I just wanted to say, thank you so much for all the kind comments and messages from you guys, I really appreciate it,” Randolph said in the video, which offered fans a sneak peek into her new home.

“Regarding the topic in the media that brought my name up this week, I just wanted to let you know that I’m not going to be further discussing or commenting on it for now.”

She continued: “There’s a lot of layers to it, and I just feel like the best thing for me at this time is to move forward and just focus on going forward, so if I do decide in the future to say anything or make a comment at all, you guys will be the first to know.

“But for now I just wanted to say thank you for all the kind messages and comments and DMs, and although I can’t respond to all of you guys, I want you to know that I read them and I’m so thankful and I feel very loved and supported and I appreciate you guys so much.”

Colton Underwood experienced suicidal thoughts as he came to terms with his sexuality

Colton Underwood had always stridently denied fan speculation that he was gay, but the reality television star finally came out in an interview that aired on 14 April.

The former Bachelor revealed that he had been plagued by mental health issues as he came to terms with his sexuality, saying he “hated” himself “for a long time”.

The situation became so bad that he began to experience suicidal thoughts.

Addressing Randolph in the interview, Underwood said: “I’d like to say sorry for how things ended. I messed up, I made a lot of bad choices.”
