Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers Spotted Together in Mexico

The actress confirmed at the end of February that her fiancé is a “nerd” who “throws balls for a living.”

Shailene Woodley and her fiancé Aaron Rodgers were spotted out together for the first time since confirming their engagement, taking a little vacation South of the border.

In exclusive photos obtained by TMZ, the newly betrothed couple can be seen boarding a private jet with some friends in Costa Careyes, Mexico on Monday. Both were dressed casually with stuffed backpacks tossed over their shoulders and metal water bottles in hand. This is the first time Woodley and Rodgers have been seen together since making their relationship public last month. The couple has had to spend a good chunk of their relationship apart while the NFL player focused on his season and the actress was filming in Montreal, but the pair haven’t always been long-distance. A source previously confirmed to E! News that, “They have spent the entire fall together and lived together throughout,” adding, “Over the next year, they plan to spend some time traveling and enjoying a warmer climate.”

Rumors the pair were affianced first began at the beginning of February after Rodgers cryptically thanked “my fiancée” during his acceptance speech for the NFL’s Most Valuable Player award. Then, weeks later during an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Woodley confirmed, “Yes, we are engaged.” She continued, “He’s, first off, just a wonderful, incredible human being. But I never thought I’d be engaged with somebody who threw balls for a living. Like, I never thought as a little girl, ‘Yeah, when I grow up, I’m gonna marry someone who throws balls! Yeah!’ But he’s really just so good at it.” Because of the pandemic, however, the actress still hasn’t gotten the chance to see him play a game live. “I don’t know him as a football guy,” she explained. “I know him as like the nerd who wants to host Jeopardy! That’s the dude I know. He just happens to be very good at sports.”
