Oscar Nominations 2021: See the Full List

Mank scores 10 Oscar nominations, but Nomadland, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Minari, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and Judas and the Black Messiah are nipping at its heels.

The Oscar nominations 2021 are finally here—months after the Film Academy formally announced that it was delaying the 93rd annual Academy Awards due to the pandemic. We made our best guesses about who might be up for an Oscar this year… but of course, in perhaps the most unpredictable race in recent memory, even the sharpest awards prognosticators found themselves taken surprised by which films wind up in the final mix.

For instance: after missing out on several precursor awards, Mank wound up as the film with the most nominations overall, securing 10 nods including best picture, actor, and director. But it has stiff competition in the form of Nomadland, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Minari, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and Judas and the Black Messiah, all of which earned six nominations themselves.

Look below for a full list of Oscar nominees, announced Monday morning by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas. The Oscars themselves will take place April 25, in Los Angeles, at both the usual Dolby Theatre and a second location: Union Station.
