Just one week after we learned that Paramount will be bringing A Quiet Place Part II to Paramount+ 45 days after its release in theaters, the film’s theatrical date has changed.
Most recently set for release on September 17, 2021, the John Krasinski-directed sequel to the 2018 horror hit will now be coming to theaters Memorial Day Weekend, May 28.
A third installment, meanwhile, is already in the works.
“Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
Part II is rated PG-13 for “terror, violence and bloody/disturbing images.”
