Armie Hammer Reportedly Moved Out of the Home He Shared with Elizabeth Chambers “Under the Cover of Night”

Shortly after finding a buyer for the Los Angeles home he and his estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers once shared, Armie Hammer apparently decided to hastily move out in the dead of night.

According to a source who spoke with Page Six, the beleaguered actor hired movers to begin packing up his home “under the cover of night.” Neighbors didn’t see the actor himself on the premises of the gated mansion, however, one said, “Trucks and a gaggle of movers descended on the property, working well after midnight and lit only by flashlights.” They continued, “We like to keep drama to the minimum in the neighborhood, but it was already weird that the house sat on the market for months while other houses around here sold like hotcakes.”

In September, the former couple first listed the seven-bedroom, six-bath, three-story home located in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles for $5.8 million, following the public announcement of their separation this summer. Three months later, on December 7, they lowered that price to just $4.99 million, according to records obtained by Page Six. And by February 10, Hammer and Chambers had finally found a buyer for the home built in 1927.

The sale of the property also hasn’t been made easier by Hammer’s string of social media scandals, which he’s deemed “bullshit,” but which have also caused him to step away from multiple upcoming film projects, including a series about the making of The Godfather and Jennifer Lopez‘s action-comedy Shotgun Wedding. In February, the actor was also dropped by his agency WME, as well as his personal publicist.
