Sci-Fi Horror Shooter ‘The Persistence’ Receiving Next-Gen Release For PS5, Xbox Series And PC Later This Year

Firesprite Games has announced that their sci-fi horror shooter The Persistence will be making the leap to next-gen with an Enhanced version for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. The title was originally released last year for Xbox One, PC and PS4.

The Persistence Enhanced “dials up the atmosphere and tension with improved lighting, UX enhancements and Raytraced rendering. Immersive haptic feedback is also supported with the DualSense controller on PlayStation 5.” This new version will also be a free update for players who already own the original game, and will also be seeing a physical release, courtesy of publisher Perp Games.

There’s no exact release date as of yet for The Persistence Enhanced, so stay tuned for more info on that.

In The Persistence, players are tasked with surviving on board a doomed deep space colony starship in the year 2521. The ship has been overrun with horrific and murderous monsters. The player must explore, evade and fight their way through the ship to bring it back to Earth.
