Disney has launched a Lunar New Year collection and fans are going to love it.

This year’s Lunar New Year takes place on Friday, 12 February. It will see calendars reset for a renewed cycle marking the Year of the Ox, and Disney is joining in on the celebrations.

The latest collection from the media giant includes t-shirts embellished with an Ox, Mickey and Minnie Mouse plush toys and Mulan-themed headbands.

One of the highlights – and cutest – products in the new collection is the Mickey Mouse mug. It’s priced at $19.99 and comes with a lid and gold, red and green design, inspired by traditional colours of Chinese New Year.

Other stand-outs include traditional red packet envelopes. You can get six red packets priced at $9.99 which feature three character designs with translations: Mickey (good fortune), Minnie (prosperity) and Donald (luck).

Plus there’s two Chinese New Year traditional outfits with embroidered details, fur lining and satin features to dress up your Mickey and Minnie plush toys for the occasion at $12.99 each.

The majority of the products are available in the US, so this means Disney fans outside the country won’t be able to get their hands on the entire collection.

Unfortunately in the UK only the limited edition pin, which features characters Mickey, Minnie and Chip ‘n’ Dale sat on an ox is available from the store.

If you still want a piece of the Chinese New Year collection then it’s priced at £12 in the UK while US shoppers can get it for $15.99.
