Barbara Crampton Calls to Cthulhu in New Lovecraftian Horror Movie ‘Sacrifice’ [Trailer]

“We just call him… The Slumbering One.”

Barbara Crampton is no stranger to Lovecraftian horrors, having starred in Re-Animator, From Beyond and Castle Freak, and her next movie takes her back into that particular realm.

Crampton stars in the upcoming horror movie Sacrifice from Epic Pictures, which is headed to VOD on February 9th. It’ll then be released onto Blu-ray on February 23rd.

“After his mother’s death, Isaac and his pregnant wife return to his birthplace on a remote Norwegian island to claim on unexpected inheritance. During their visit, the couple discover dark secrets from Isaac’s past. Their pleasant trip quickly turns into a nightmare when Isaac and his wife encounter a sinister cult that worships a sea-dwelling deity.”

It sounds like this one mixes aspects of Castle Freak with elements from Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos, and there are indeed tentacled horrors glimpsed in the official trailer. Find it below.
