Zonnique Pullins Reveals The Hilarious (& Oh So Relatable) Fear She Had While Giving Birth – Listen

There was a very personal dilemma Zonnique Pullins dreaded when she gave birth, which any mom delivering a baby can surely relate to. She didn’t want one specific bodily function to occur.

For first time mother Zonnique Pullins, part of giving birth was “nasty” because she was concentrating on not going number two during her number one experience in life. The muscles used during labor to push out a baby are the same ones used to defecate, and Z didn’t want her boyfriend Bandhunta Izzy to see her soil herself while delivering their baby daughter on Dec. 15. She got real about what labor is really like during as she returned to FOX Soul’s The Mix on Jan. 6, saying she willed herself into not pooping while giving birth.

Co-host Anton Peeples asked the 24-year-old to “Tell all the moms out there what the experience is really like?” and Z got real about the process of giving birth. “Um, the experience is…it is really nasty! We will start there. I didn’t want to sh*t the whole time. I was like, ‘Don’t sh*t, don’t sh*t!’ Cause I don’t even fart in front of my boyfriend in real life. Stuff like that is really nasty to me,” the “Patience” singer explained, adding about Bandhunta, “He’s just watching it and saying little comments and it is really nasty.”

Zonnique revealed that the delivery of her daughter wasn’t what she had envisioned. “So it wasn’t what I was expecting. I would say it was a lot easier than what I expected. My water broke, I was so happy about that ya’ll. I wanted my water to break. So um that was very exciting for me and um it was pretty smooth,” she detailed.

“I feel like my baby was like, you know very close down. I didn’t have to push for long but the epidural. Ladies! You need it, I am not even going to lie, like the epidural made me feel like, I mean the contractions hurt so bad ya’ll. The epidural made me feel a whole lot better, that is all I am going to say,” Z advised. Worrying about soiling herself aside, overall Zonnique did say of the birth, “It is a really beautiful experience.”

Now that her daughter is past the newborn stage, her looks are starting to become more defined. “The baby is just so precious guys, just so perfect. I am spoiling her already, I am trying not to spoil her but I can’t like help it! I want to say she looks like me but she is starting to look a lot like her dad, in that case,” Zonnique gushed.

Speaking of Bandhunta, he’s been there for Z as a great dad except there’s one thing he won’t do. “He’s been stepping it up, but he is not on diaper duty guys! I change all the diapers and you know he told me before she came into the world that he wasn’t going to change any diapers and I was like, ‘Oh no, you are going to change diapers!’ I haven’t got him to change one diaper!”

And of course she has the full support of her mom, Tiny Harris, 45, who is over the moon about her new granddaughter. “She is spoiling her to the max ya’ll. I call her the other day and I told her I miss her and she said, ‘Oh I miss my baby too!’ And I was like, ‘Well, she didn’t say she missed you, I miss you!’ So that is what is going on right now with my Mom. All she cares about right now is my baby!” As a first time grandmother, who can blame Tiny for being so doting!
