Super Bowl champ Patrick Mahomes’ pregnant fiancee Brittany Matthews is showing off how she’s she’s keeping strong and fit while rocking a growing baby bump.
Isn’t pregnancy supposed to tire a person out? Not in the case of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes‘ fiancée, Brittany Matthews. The first time mother to be just powering right through her rigorous workout routines despite her growing baby bump. The 25-year-old certified personal trainer showed off a series of glute and hamstring workouts in a Nov. 25 Instagram video that looked challenging for any normal person, let alone an expectant mom with a prominent baby belly.
Brittany cruised right through dead lifts, lunges, back squats and more with heavy weights. She demonstrated the various exercises in the video, with the couple’s cane corso pup Silver sitting on a weight bench watching over his mama protectively. “Nothing like a good Glute & Hammy workout. 10-12 reps 3 Sets,” Brittany noted in the caption.
Fans cheered on Brittany’s commitment to fitness, with user @snnysdeup commenting, “Its very possible for mamas to workout while pregnant. Thank you for being an example,” as @the417bennetts applauded, “Way to stay healthy and active momma.” Fan @susanglammuaw observed, “That baby is gonna come out ripped!!” but @ms_foster43 told Brittany, “Be very careful.”
In addition to being a certified personal trainer, Brittany graduated from college with a degree in Kinesiology — the scientific study of human or non-human body movement — so she knows what her body is capable of. Combine that with being engaged to one of the most elite athletes in the world, as Patrick was a Super Bowl champ and game MVP before he was even 25-years-old.
Brittany’s Instagram is filled with great workout and instructional fitness videos. But she actually started catching heat for her commitment to fitness during pregnancy after the couple announced on Sept. 30 they are expecting their first child, later revealed to be a baby girl. It got so bad that on Oct. 18, she tweeted, “truly had no idea how many people actually think working out during pregnancy is not good….my oh my. Do your research peeps, there’s lots of new info out.”
