Watch Drakeo the Ruler’s Video for New Song “Fights Don’t Matter”

Drakeo the Ruler was released from prison on Wednesday, and tonight, he shared his first new song and video since his release. “Fights Don’t Matter” is set to appear on his upcoming project We Know the Truth. According to Jeff Weiss, the song was recorded “three hours after leaving the Compton Courthouse—from scrawled lyrics written while caged in solitary to a video in 96 hours.” Watch it below.

The Los Angeles rapper was released with time served after striking a plea deal. He was on trial for charges of criminal gang conspiracy and shooting from a motor vehicle. The rapper pled guilty to shooting from a motor vehicle with a gang enhancement, while the criminal gang conspiracy charge was dismissed.

Earlier this year, Drakeo released Thank You for Using GTL—an album recorded from a jail phone while detained at Los Angeles County’s Men’s Central Jail.
