UPDATE: We apparently jumped the gun when it came to the length of the presentation. According to Resident Evil Wiki, Capcom has stated that the entire event length is two hours, whereas coverage of Resident Evil Village will only be 30 mins. This will be followed by a “guest spot”. We apologize for the confusion.
Those of you who are hoping to check out Resident Evil Village next weekend during Tokyo Games Show 2020 will have to set aside a chunk of time, as Capcom has announced that they’re devoting two hours to the upcoming title.
According to gamefront.de, the first hour will serve as an introduction to the game. For that, the development team, which includes producers Peter Fabiano and Tsuyoshi Kanda, are expected to go into detail about Village, as well as talk about the series in general. The second hour will be devoted to discussion. Of note is that one of the guests for the discussion will be Japanese comedian Hidetaka Kano.
Capcom’s TGS Live Event will be streamed from Saturday, September 26th to Sunday, September 27th, with the Resident Evil Village portion being held at 2 pm CEST (5 am PST) on September 27th. The event (if you’re up that early) can be seen at tgs.cesa.or.jp and asia.capcom.com.
Resident Evil Village will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC later this year.
Thanks to Relyonhorror for the heads up.
