Netflix’s “Marianne” may be no more but creator Samuel Bodin will return to the genre with Lionsgate’s horror movie Cobweb, and we’ve got some great casting news today.
Lizzy Caplan (“Castle Rock”) and Antony Starr (“The Boys”) have been set to star!
The cast will also include Cleopatra Coleman and Woody Norman.
“The film centers on a small town, in an ordinary house that seems like any other, where a young boy hears a mysterious tapping from inside the walls – and suspects his parents are hiding a terrible secret.”
Lizzy Caplan will play Carol, the mother of the young boy. Antony Starr plays Mark, the boy’s father. Woody Norman stars as Peter, a timid boy who becomes increasingly troubled by the strange tapping he hears within the walls at night. Cleopatra Coleman will portray Miss Devine, Peter’s substitute teacher, filling in at the local elementary school.
Chris Thomas Devlin wrote the film, which will be produced by Roy Lee through his Vertigo Entertainment banner, and by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver, through Point Grey. Jon Berg also serves as producer. Andrew Childs and Josh Fagen will executive produce. Jim Miller and Meredith Wieck are overseeing the project for Lionsgate.
Production begins later this month, in Sofia, Bulgaria.
