Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Resolution, Spring, V/H/S: Viral, The Endless) are back with Synchronic, a brand new sci-fi thriller that’s just been dated for October release.
Well Go USA will bring the film to drive-ins and traditional theaters on October 23.
Moorhead and Benson released a statement on Twitter in the wake of this news, letting their fans know that they cannot condone going to traditional theaters at this time.
They write, “At the time of writing this, we personally wouldn’t go to an indoor movie theater, so we can’t encourage you to. If you can’t see Synchronic in a way that is safe for yourself and everyone you come into contact with, it will be available via Video On Demand in a few months as it continues its worldwide rollout.”
You can read the full statement below.
Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan star in Synchronic as two New Orleans paramedics, whose lives are ripped apart after encountering a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug with bizarre, otherworldly effects.
Joe Lipsett called the film “a daring go for broke sci-fi original” in his BD review.
The film is produced by David Lawson Jr., who produced The Endless, along with Benson and Moorhead for Rustic Films. The script was written by Benson.
