Rudy Giuliani has made it clear there’s nothing he won’t do to protect his client President Trump, much like his daughter Caroline made it equally clear on Twitter this week that she’ll be casting her vote for a Democrat come November.
Following the announcement that Kamala Harris is Joe Biden’s vice presidential pick on Tuesday, Giuliani’s 31-year-old daughter tweeted out a photo of herself with the California senator, writing, “An excellent day for a repost from this bleeding [blue heart] of mine,” adding the hashtags, “#bidenharris2020 #removetrump.” She also shared a link to donate to Biden’s campaign, saying, “While there’s some momentum here, a reminder to please donate to help start turning this shit around!! It’s a matter of life or (many) death(s) at this point.”
Caroline’s endorsement came one day before her father’s appearance on Fox & Friends First on Wednesday, during which he called Harris—who has suggested Giuliani should be disbarred—“the worst nightmare as a prosecutor.” Discussing her time as a public prosecutor and district attorney in San Francisco, he said, “She was, in some cases, overly lenient and other cases ridiculously strict, and in some cases [looks] completely corrupt,” adding that in order to “impress the police,” Harris “prosecuted 1,500 marijuana cases.”
This isn’t the first time the Giulianis have publicly expressed their very different political opinions. In a 2016 interview with Politico, Caroline said, “I love Hillary, I think she’s by far the most qualified candidate that we’ve had in a long while. My dad knows. I was for Barack in 2012. He knows and is fully comfortable with it and thinks I have a right to my opinion.”
While it seems like Caroline and her dad have agreed to disagree regarding their political viewpoints, Kellyanne Conway’s teen daughter Claudia has taken a much more confrontational approach with the Counselor to the President, repeatedly calling out her mom on social media. But if both really want to stick it to their Trump-supporting parents, they should consider pursuing the ultimate act of rebellion: Becoming surprise guest speakers at next week’s Democratic National Convention.
