Lori Loughlin Celebrates Her Birthday While Sentencing Awaits

According to sources who spoke with People, Lori Loughlin marked her 56th birthday with a “very quiet celebration” with her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, and two daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade.

“Lori and Mossimo have spent time down the coast from L.A.,” a source told the magazine in part. “They still don’t know what will happen at the sentencing in August. It’s insanely stressful for them. They just want it over with.”

Both Loughlin and her husband are set to learn their fates on August 21, after pleading guilty in May to their roles in the college-admissions scandal whose investigation was codenamed “Operation Varsity Blues.” According to the deal the couple’s lawyers struck with prosecutors, they’ve asked the judge to sentence Giannulli to five months in federal prison, pay a $250,000 fine, and complete 250 hours of community service, while Loughlin is asking for two months in prison, a $150,000 fine, and 100 hours of community service.

Loughlin had confessed to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. Giannulli pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and one count of honest services wire and mail fraud. If the terms of their deal are accepted by the judge, the money-laundering and bribery charges against them will be dropped.

The pair were charged over a year ago for their participation in William “Rick” Singer’s scheme to get the children of moneyed elites into various colleges and universities. Loughlin and Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 to get both of their daughters into the University of Southern California through the athletic department, posing them as crew recruits though neither were rowers.
