Sadly, while we probably won’t see another Dead Space game for a while, that doesn’t mean that we can’t take solace in “small comforts”. Such as one of the original writers behind Dead Space, Antony Johnston, teasing something big for this week’s PlayStation 5 Event.
Johnston took to Twitter last night to drop news that he’s been working on something for the past few years, and that we “should all watch the PS5 launch event on Thursday”.
As some of you know, I’ve been working on a big videogame for almost 2 years now.
In totally unrelated news, you should all watch the PS5 launch event on Thursday.

Fans then jumped on Johnston, asking for more information. To which Johnston replied:
Hint: you play a character having a really bad time https://t.co/yVvUwZVdS2

Of course, one would immediately hope that this is Dead Space related. After all, Johnston was one of the main writers behind the game that started it all, and also contributed to Dead Space: Extraction and Dead Space Ignition. But, with EA (who still owns the rights) having their own event on June 18th, it would seem more likely that any Dead Space announcement (if there is one) would come from that.
Still, we can all hope that Isaac Clarke makes a return in this next generation of consoles.
