Edgar Wright’s Horror Movie ‘Last Night in Soho’ Pulled from September Release

Not that any news of this sort is any kind of surprise anymore but Variety is reporting today that Edgar Wright‘s psychological horror movie Last Night in Soho has been pulled off the release schedule by Focus Features.

The film had been set for release on September 25, 2020.

Last Night in Soho, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Thomasin McKenzie, is set in London’s Soho district during the Swinging Sixties, and there seems to be a time travel element involved.

On a recent episode of MTV’s “Happy Sad Confused” podcast, Taylor-Joy provided a brief tease of Wright’s take on 1960s London.

Not to say much about the movie, but when I watch bits of it back in ADR or whatever I am disturbed,” the actress teased. “It’s very claustrophobic. The colors are so intense. It’s a really well-directed acid trip. I think people will really like it. You definitely will not be bored.”

Wright wrote the script with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (“Penny Dreadful”).
